Nurses Job Hunt

Hi, in need of advice. It's been 2 years now and I have yet to find a nursing job. I know it's tough here in the Bay Area but was wondering if anyone knew where I can go to find a job? I have an ADN as well as a BS in another subject. Please help!!! Also if I were to apply out of state do I have to that state's license first prior to applying? Thanks in advance!

My coworker from CA was talking about this large prison they are opening in San Joaquin county and they are hiring all positions. I've heard nurses make big $$ in CA correctional facilities.
