Hello all nursing students and new nurses, did you purchase a drug reference book? If yes which one did you purchase? If no, what do you use to guide you when administering medications, especially IV push medications?

I've used paperback versions of Nursing 2020 for 40 years.
Many recommend Davis Drug Guide for Nurses - both paperback and online
Both list nursing considerations needed for safe administration including drug to drug interactions.
Thank you so much for your response. I very appreciate it.

for IV Meds - I love Gahardt. It is really easy to find out the compatibilities, dilution advice and administration times .
Thank you. I'll look into it.

Yes I agree, Betty Gahardt is my favorite IV medication book.It lists everything you need to know and many key things about each medication that other books leave out.
