Hello, I am new to this site and joined because I am looking for a little help on a project I'm presenting. My NCLEX book lists a nursing diagnoses for Hyperthyroidism as "Decreased cardiac output". Now, I understand why this would be with Hypothyroidism, but why for Hyper? I have searched everywhere and I am thinking that the diagnoses should be "Increased cardiac output". If somebody could shed some light on this, I would greatly appreciate it. BTW, my name is Jen and I am in second semester of LPN. Thanks much!
