What book would be best for Nursing diagnoses and care plans, both as a nursing student and for use in practice?

ask an instructor what they recommend. Look on your syllabus. May be there for recommended reading. Your school library may have one. The NANDA diagnoses can easily be found online and are in many textbooks.

Ackley and Ladwig, NURSING DIAGNOSIS HANDBOOK Ninth Edition is the best. It has every diagnosis on the back page with the in depth descriptions and interventions in the book.

i'd be sure to get the source: nanda 2009-2011. the textbooks will fill in a lot of blanks for you as an early student but as you become more proficient, you'll find yourself looking more and more at this one; it can also help you sort out what's a good question and what's a bad one on your homework assignments :D.

i've been out of school since before your mother was born :smokin: and it's on my desk above my computer, and i use it every day.
