Published

Hello!

If anyone else applying for the nursing corps scholarship 2015-2016 is anything like me then you've been googling like crazy trying to find out information on how to apply or what they need or even previous years winner. Soooooo.....if anyone is applying this year around or previously has and was or wasn't accepted please tell me your experience! Here are my stats PLEASE share yours if you'd like....

maryland full time nursing student.

VP of my local student nurses association

1st semester done ( :) ) asking for 2 years assistance

GPA 3.44

EFC 0000

4 years of community service in underserved communities

It sounds like you all have great stats! molympic, do you have a cumulative 4.0 GPA, or is that your prerequisite GPA? Its quite an accomplishment to get a bachelor's degree with a 4.0!

I'm anxiously waiting for one of us RN students whose credit was checked on 7/29 to get the award notice!

The emails received yesterday didn't come until after 5 my time (I'm in Texas) so I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need to check it until then. So far I have checked 5 times today and it's only 10:30. I didn't realize how impatient of a person I am until all of this!

I'm still predicting that RN students won't recieve notifications until two weeks after their credit check...

I am an NP and haven't received an email :(

for those who received an award, did your status change?

MissPat, i dont have my bachelor's yet; only my associates. I am bridging from that to the BSN.

Full-time RN and NP students fall in the same tier. I believe they already have their choices made and those students get the award letter. As the people who are chosen decline the award, they move down the line and send letters to the alternates.

Miltown great information, and Hopeful30 did you see the credit check after your credit was updated and not before?

It didn't show until I updated today and I made sure to sign up for alerts when I created the account. When I logged in today my credit score was 2 points lower because of a hard inquiry by credco.

It showed on Equifax.

Thank you for the info. I don't understand when you call and speak to a rep their quick to tell you that you have until September to hear something, when more than likely September will be when you receive your rejection. :sniff: like come on.

Hopeful30, yours only went down by 2? Mine was 15!! I think it's kind of funny because if I don't get this scholarship I need to apply for more loans with a lower credit score because of the scholarship.

But the NPs have first preference then RNs I think, it makes sense that only NPs are getting notified. No RN in this forum has gotten an offer just NPs! I'm still excited and hoping for some good news!
