hi all can you plz help me on this scenario?
A young female staff nurse comes to your office with tears in her eyes. She tells you that a senior male colleague has been spreading false information about her and that she is very upset. She wants to be transferred to another ward. As a head nurse what how you would deal with this situation, with specific examples?

Talk to that male colleague. Let him know what he was doing and how this is out of his scope. You come to the hospital to work and not to gossip. Have a meeting for everyone and talk about bullying and how this can be prevented. For the victim, give what she wants and let her try to work in the other ward. She just probably need some space away from that colleague...

You have two threads going with scenarios such as this, both posted in the student forums. This leads me to believe this is homework, most likely for a leadership class. Expectations of students requesting help with assignments is to post their thoughts/show their work. We are happy to help, but we do not endorse doing the work for you.
