RMA to RN?

Nurses Career Support

Published

I am currently going to school to become an RMA. I just want to know, what do I have to do to become an RN? If I apply for another school after i complete my current classes, will my credits count?

Specializes in LTAC, Homehealth, Hospice Case Manager.

If by RMA you mean Registered Medical Assistant, I doubt the credits would transfer...mine didn't. Medical Assistant is a basic technical certificate...usually it won't transfer. To become a RN, you'll have to start with the nursing prereqs and just work your way through it all. All my best to you. :)
