hello everyone

  1. hello everyone, today is my first day joining. I am 17 years old and will be graduating in may. I was thinking of becoming an x-ray technician but now I am thinking of becoming an RN to work in the NICU. If anyone has any suggestions on which one i should do please let me know. I am really interested in working in the NICU. If anyone out there has any information regarding this, please send it to me. I would really like to know all the college classes i would have to take and all the requirements. I would like to find out A.S.A.P. because i would like to know what i wanna do after school. thanks so much, and hope to hear from someone soon.

Good Luck!! You might want to check at your local hospitals NICU and ask a couple of the nurses there what their education level is. I work on a peds and ob floor, but we recently nixed our NICU because of funding issues. Everybody loves babies though, so it's a tough field to get into. Make sure you have the education necessary to make them want you. It might help you out when it comes to resume time

    Best Wishes!!

I'm a NICU nurse and I really love it. You might try doing some hospital volunteer work to get more of an idea of the different roles out there.
