Hey everyone I was just searching for some advic about my current case as a home health aide. I've been working with a patient for two years now and obviously she feels comfortable with me being her aide. never had any complaints from her or the family. However I'm looking to leave the case but dont know how to tell the patient or family because they always tell me how such a great job i do and they want me to stick around for their mom. my reasons for leaving is money I'm just not making enough from the hours to take care of my responsibilities I had a talk with her daughter and she was letting me know that there were now bedbugs in the home. I care for the patient dearly but Im wondering what should I do, I cant afford to start bugs coming into my home and the moneys not there?Pleeeease any advice is appreciated.

If you do not want to have this conversation with the family, then you do not have to. It is the responsibility of the agency to explain. Sometimes the agency personnel will make up reasons to tell the family to avoid unpleasantness. Not enough money is certainly understandable. Make certain that you report the pest situation to your nursing supervisor. You have to do what is best for you. Good luck with your new cases.

Thank you, thats probably what i will have to do really soon.
