I am going for my BSN and I was wondering what other books, other then the required ones, that are useful for nursing school. This can be from references or websites anything in general. I feel like I may buy every nursing book at Barnes Noble.

I have these to be the most helpful for my Fundamentals class:
-Saunders NCLEX-RN Review (this was helpful starting with my very first test)
-Fundamentals Success

I would not recommend buying lots of books that are not required. You will not be able to read them all anyway. YOu will end up reading your REQUIRED books over and over. Generally, the instructor hands out a recommended list but even then I would only purchase something that is unique and I think would be a good reference my entire nusing school career. Don't forget that you can go to the Library and copy pages of books you do not own. Cheaper than buying a bunch of books!

There are approximately one bazillion threads on this topic here. I just read one the other day.
The number one book you will need to learn to think like a nurse, whether or not the faculty thinks to put it on the bookstore list, is the NANDA-I 2015-2017, available at Amazon in hard copy or for Kindle or iPad. Search a few threads here on nursing care plans / plans of care to see why.
