I submitted my application via endorsement to Louisiana BON on November 3. Mind you, they required a lot (transcripts from school, employment verification, notarized signature, etc). I had a feeling it would take a while, so I was patient.
At the end of December they finally contacted me and told me they were missing my employment verification from 2 employers. Since it was Christmas break, I waited until January 1 and contacted my previous employers and had them fax the documents. They both sent me verification that they did fax it. No word from BON. Still no license.
After 3 weeks (Monday) I called their office. The woman I spoke to was polite, but seemed extremely unorganized. First, she said the system was frozen so she'd check my paper file. After quite some time, and mutterings of "hmmm... these papers are stuck together", "These are in a weird order...", she finally tells me she's STILL missing an employment verification and then she asks me if I sent a letter explaining a gap in my employment. I told her I sent it, but I would be happy to e-mail it again. I contacted my previous employer AGAIN, and she sent me a confirmation that she faxed it again. I also promptly sent the letter again, and asked if she received the fax from my previous employer. No response.
Today I emailed her and asked her if she had everything she needed to process my application and what the timeline might be. No response.
I'm trying to apply for graduate school and some of the application deadlines are coming up. Many of the schools require that I'm licensed in the state I plan on doing my clinicals in. I've been licensed in 3 other states with NO problem. Never has it taken 3 months! What should I do?

I don't think that anyone other than the Louisiana BON can help you.
Thanks.
You're welcome.
Anyone else on here ever have a similar situation? Some helpful advice?
