Can you tell me the best places to work and where not to go? Please include Pulaski and Lewisburg. Also is it hard to get into Tenn Tech for LPN training? Thanks to all who respond.

I dont think the Pulaski classes meet in Columbia anymore. I think they only ones that do are through Hohenwald. We were in a lot safer location it sounds like!! One class met over by the hospital and our class met in part of the career center in Northway Shopping center.

Maury Regional would be your best bet around this area. I'm not saying the other hospitals aren't any good, just that MRH offers a broader variety of services. Can't tell you from working there personally because I work at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, but my wife has worked there for over 5 yrs and she loves it!

Does Maury regional still use LPN's????? I thought they were phasing them out while I lived there,, (((That was a little over 3 years ago.)))) I like that hospital though, both my kids were born there and I own a house less than 5 miles from it. May be moving back there in the next year or so. I worked at Lifecare of Columbia, and really liked it. But alot can change in 3 years so don't hold me to anything, would love to hear if anyone know what is going on as far as nursing and growth in Columbia.:monkeydance:
