    despite exploding costs, most americans got sizable life-extending bang for their medical bucks over recent decades, says one of the most sweeping studies ever of healthcare value. the study calculated that americans of all ages spent an average of $19,900 on medical care for each extra year of life expectancy gained over the last four decades of the 20th century.

    Our insurance is over $14,000/year. Copays vary from $15-$200 and there is no coverage for DME. Thank goodness my hubby's co. pays a big chunk of that...

    When he started at his co. 11 years ago, insurance was less than $8,000 and our copays were from $10-$50 with coverage for DME over $200 at 80%.
