About a year and a half ago I was dismissed from a BSN nursing program at the University of Memphis for failing two nursing courses (Pathophysiology and Medsurg 1). I felt the best thing for me to do was to obtain a degree to have something to show for all the time spent in college. In December 2012, I graduated Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in Health Services Administration. I have changed so much in the past year and half. I can honestly say that I am not the same person I was when I attended the nursing program. I even have a stronger desire to succeed since I am confident that I want to become a nurse. However, I cannot find a nursing program that will accept me. I have read many blogs on this website about people going through the same situation and being accepted into a nursing program, but they never post the name of the program. Please anyone who has failed two nursing courses and was accepted into another program please respond. Thanks!

Most of the time, most nursing schools do not accept people who have failed two nursing courses-if people have had that experience, most of the time they have appealed at their previous program-at least the people that I have known. Most nursing programs accept candidates once they have completed a LPN program and are licensed as a LPN...that was the route that I took. I tried to enter another nursing school, but I felt black balled during the process. With success during my LPN coursework, I proved I can complete a nursing program, thus gave me the opportunity to get into a BSN program. Graduated in May, licensed in June.

Yep, a friend of mine did that, and has worked many years as an RN since.
