Today I found out that an old friend and colleague died. No one really knows what happened yet, but he was really fun to be around and had his whole life ahead of him. He was a mentor to me when I entered into critical care and taught me about recovering open heart patients, and he did it all with a fun disposition. We all wanted to work with him and knew the day would be a blast when he was on shift with us. He was in his mid 30's. RIP old friend.

You just never know what tomorrow brings.

I am so sorry. I think we have all had that special mentor. That person who truly loved teaching and didnt even realize what an awesome teacher and nurse they are. They just loved what they did and it showed. I am so sorry. That is so young. What happened..... MVA?

Mag - I am so sorry to hear of your friend dying. That is such a hard thing to go through. A friend like that is one in a million, and sometimes we aren't able to - not really replace him, but to find another one to fit into his shoes.

I will keep you in our prayers in this difficult time.
