Generally looking to between 1-2 weeks a year (think average is 2) definitely no way like the UK for holidays. I am already in Nova Scotia as dh had the job but have started the process with the province nursing board and you will have to do the same and at some stage sit the CRNE. You will need a full time job to comply with work visa requirements unless your other half (if you have one) is the main applicant for work visa and then can look for something part time
thanks , i have community and neuro acute experience. I have a dependant son of 20 and my husband has experience of counselling.Finding it hard tofind out about counselling jobs in canada. I have looked on immigration site re Dependants but not too clear if my son could come if is over 21 before we get permanent residency visa/ or if it is taken as age on application whn you apply. I have seen that there are a couple of sites that are recruiting nurses for pnp prpgram. How did you emigrate?
Going the PR route can take several years if in the UK, we did it via temp work permit with job offer and was out here in months. PNP is a route but I do not know a lot about it but you do get PR. You could get sorted with province nursing board and then apply to employers and get twp and then apply for PR once in Canada and that can be done and dusted quickly. Check out posts by RGN1 as she did everything herself and was out in Canada in 8 months.
