The current article, "Why Nurses Are No-Cape Heroes" got me to thinking.
We all have our alternative egos, a secondary or alternative personality. For example, we have our personal persona where we act one way to those with who we are intimate, and we have a different professional persona as a Nurse.
But if we could become a Superhero, like Superman or Supergirl, what would we be like?
I came up with my Superhero while working a slow 12 hour MN shift in ER back in December of '92: The Midnight Male Ninja Nurse (MMNN).
Over the years, I've used the character both for entertainment and professionally. For example, at a community mental health center in 1997, I worked with an LPN who was a very good nurse, but one time she made a med error by not following the five rights.
I made a small poster showed a copy of it to her, and she hung it on a med cabinet in the clinics med room where we often gave decanoate injections. She said something along the lines of "This will remind me!"
So, who what would your Nurse Superhero be like? What would be their name? Who or what would be their Arch Enemy? What Superpowers would they possess?

Whereas the MMNN just keeps roundhouse karate kicking the Coronavirus away:

I needed the laugh today! I love the way your mind works, and wish that I had an ounce of your talent

Thank you so very much, Hoosier!
All you have to do for the talent is to become a 64 year old retired nurse who spends up to 12 hours a day in your art room.
It may take someone like you a couple of weeks.
Three tops.
I do graphic design using Serif Affinity Suite. I'm learning to make graphics for my cutting machines. Some of the tools just wear my patience, then I have that ah-ha moment. Until I get it down pat, you MMNN/DD, are my hero!

Aaaaaaaaw, shucks!
I wish not to get too far off the topic, but can describe, in your best Nurse Superhero reply, what a Serif Affinity Suite is?
A little more than two years ago, an allnurses member who was (is?) a school nurse, Farawyn, and she made the statement that she had to save the lives of children.
Her statement sounded like a very dramatic Superhero Nurse to me, so I made a fitting cartoon image and titled it "Fantastic Far":

My enemy was sleep! For my patients, it was an effort to give them the opportunity to sleep!
Now that I have switched careers.. I am the Holey Nurse (wounds, ostomy, continence - all the holes!). And my enemy is Infection! Mwahahhaha. Superpowers - the power of regeneration and remodeling!
Sometimes, Superhero Nurses need their sidekicks in order to help them in tough situations.
I worked as a community nurse in an ACT program from 1996-98, and had a chum/coworker named Marty. Marty was not a tall man, but he was very stout and strong. He was ex-military, talked a lot, and nearly always wore a smile.
I would jokingly call him Marty Mouse, and made a cartoon character drawing of him in August 1997:
That next February, Marty came to my aid, running from the residential office on a bad knee when he heard a female client scream. She screamed because I was being stabbed by a male client, diagnosed with undifferentiated schizophrenia, weilding a pair of heavy scissors.
Marty and I subdued and held the client until the police arrived.
Yep, the MMNN needed Mighty Marty to help him in a tough situation!

Ooooh! A "Calico Kitty Cat Bat Nurse"!
Then, a "Fantastic Feline Holey Rolly Nurse"!
I must go down into my Lair and create!

Just a short comment not to get too far off:
Affinity designer = adobe illustrator
Affinity photo = Adobe photoshop
Affinity publisher = Adobe indesign
Graphic design tools at a fraction of the cost, and performs way better. Electronic graphic arts and fiber arts are my choice of expression
