Nurse specialty

I am a new LPN working in dialysis for 3 months now. Dialysis is one of the few specialities that hire PN's making it difficult to leave. I say this because I'm not happy working dialysis. I'm over worked and do what the techs do with added responsibility like Meds and catheter care. The RNs just do assessments and Meds also. I am not saying I want an "easy" nursing job. But I don't feel I'm working as "a nurse" and just working at the same level as the technicians. Unfortunately not many employers hire LPNs and I feel kinda stuck there until I complete my RN in about a year and half. My question is how many times have you nurses changed specialties before really knowing that specialty was what you loved. Or how many hate it where you are and just doing it because you have no choice.

If they are willing to work around school I would stay. I would give it more time.

I've heard that it takes three to find your fit, but I don't know how true that is.
