2012 Nurse Residency Program at Vanderbilt

I was wondering if anyone had heard anything from Vanderbilt regarding the next steps? I'm so nervous!

I just received an email but it just explained how many people applied etc. Nothing else. :/

This is the second cohort I have applied for since I am under 6 mo. experience. This time I'm a little bit closer than the first. Just got an e-mail that I am on the interview wait list. Better than no chance at all but not getting my hopes up.

I got an e-mail today for an interview for either October or November. AScottRN11, I hope you get moved from wait list to actual interview. Don't lose hope!

For those that got an email saying how many people applied....what did it say?

"We received inquiry from 643 candidates representing 46 states and DC, from countries including the USA, Ontario, Israel, Columbia, Nova Scotia and the Philippines. Our applicant received pool produced 364 candidates representing 44 states and DC. Our candidates represented 171 nursing programs, 120 RN’s, with 75% BSN candidates."--What the email said!!

Haha, no that is not all it said. However, it was VERY vague. I am guessing from the "Best regards" at the bottom of the email, I did not receive an interview. I am kind of upset about it but know that there probably are better candidates out there. Congrats to those of you who received interviews!! :)

That is very vague! Don't give up hope... I know it's tough out there. I myself have been applying for months now and I'm finally getting interviews. Have you looked into TX and NC? I've found some jobs there off and on every few weeks or so. Good luck!
