Nurse Residency July 2017

Hi all! I graduate may 2017 and have already applied to UTSW nurse residency program! I wanted to start this thread to keep each other informed of notifications and updates on the application process! I applied for Women's Health and Adult Critical Care track!

Sooooo I just called Scrubs Etc and they embroider for $9 and take 7-14 business days and Citi Uniforms will do UTSW embroidery for $8 and they take 5-7 business days. They also offer a 10% discount to UTSW employees on scrubs. (I'm talking about the locations next to UTSW). Hope this helps! See y'all July 10th!

Okay so I buy and get my scrubs embroidered at one med source scrubs in garland. If yo buy the scrubs there it's $5 for embroidery with 48 hour turn around time

Does it have to be embroidered in a certain place? I see that some employees have it on their left chest and others on their left sleeve...does it matter?

Those are only hospital issues scrubs with it on the sleeve and that's like a paint stamp. It needs to be embroidered on the chest.

I know this thread is from last year around this time but I am in your same position applying for the New Grad Nurse Residency Program at UTSW for the ED track starting July 2018. I have an interview next week there, I am coming from out of town. If any of you are still active on here, is there any suggestions or insight you guys can provide for the interview process/hospital itself? I would REALLY appreciate any advice. There does not seem to be a thread or anyone on here for the July 2018 cohort yet. Thanks so much!
