I attended the group interview session last week and I think it went well. I applied to Women's Health, but I am only interested in NICU. I will post if/when I hear anything back. Did anyone else attend?

I attended the open house for the nurse extern program and got a call from L&D for a second interview today.

hey Mellie, I spoke with the NICU nurse manager this week, and they no longer take new grads in the NICU at DeKalb. I just wanted to give you a heads up. It was pretty confusing since they had a representative at the panel interview, but they are only hiring for l&d and mother/baby.

Thank you for letting me know, Breezy7, I appreciate the heads up. At least I know to not expect a call back. It would have been nice of them to let everyone know prior to the interviews. That was a complete waste of a plane ticket and my last few vacation days. :no:

What is the open house all about? I am wanting to apply for the spring 2016 start date and have not read anything on the website about going to an open house. Is this something you must attend in order to apply? Did anyone start the program this year? How is it?
