Anyone have any tips on accepting a part-time moonlighting position 2-3 days a week with an Internal medicine MD who is specifically asking for me to see upto 25 patients in 6-8 hrs. at various facilities and only willing to pay a flat stipend per month. Any thoughts on that..Do you think its doable?

I can't comment on the patient load or travel implications but the "only wiling to pay" comment makes me chuckle as that shouldn't even be a consideration. Uhh yeah well if they want me they would have to be willing to pay my rate. Imo you need crunch the numbers/hours, set your price and make it a rate that is extra sweet. Part-time jobs often become more of a burden then we can anticipate. In my experience they can have almost the same amount of after hour calls as my regular job and without a benefits package so I always insist on a premium rate. At this time I'm making $15 an hour more at my part time jobs.

Doesn't sound lucrative enough.

Here's how I think.

Is what they're willing to pay me more valuable than my free time?
