Nurse Practitioner vs. Physician Asst.?

Published

To those of you who are Nurse Practitioners why did you decide to become a NP rather than a Physicians Asst and vice-versa? Can one do more than the other? Does one make more than the other? Does one require you to go to school longer ( or is one any harder) than the other? I am just confused ...in reading up on both of them they kinda sounded the same, so I just wanted to ask those of you who are already there! Thanks in advance for any information that you can provide me!

Here is a thread about Differences (Educative/Clinical) between NP & PA that can answer some of your questions.

With link listed above I know I have no control hear but I would suggest closing this thread... Just a wee suggestion.... Or the way some of the threads have gone on this the topic the title of this one “Nurse Practitioner vs. Physician Asst.” sure needs to be changed :wink2:

We should all work together........ Must say though some of my postings have been and have had some hostile responses / reactions.
