Nurse Practitioner Schools in Spain or other Spanish speaking country

Published

I am currently looking for a Masters Entry Program of Nursing or Doctoral Nurse Practitioner School in a Spanish speaking country. Does anyone know of one? Or is there an educational institution with the option for a semester abroad at graduate level in nursing?

Thank you, Carrie

Nurse practitioner programs do not exist in any Spanish-speaking countries that I am aware of. If someone knows differently, correct me if I am incorrect on this matter.

There are several reputable online MSN/DNP programs in the United States that you can complete overseas. Two that I know from personal experience is University of Arizona and Frontier School of Nursing. Both require two visits to the school for 3-5 days before the start of the program and another visit before clinicals start. I obtained my BSN from U of A and there were MSN-DNP students all the way from Japan and China. I am currently at Frontier for my MSN/DNP and I have classmates from Guam and ... I think the difficulty will be completing your clinical portion in a country that may not have a NP role.

Most MSN level programs support the nurse in completing study abroad programs. It might be easiest and quickest to obtain your degree MSN in the US, develop a DNP project that allows you to go to your country of choice to complete your project on your target population. ( you still will need to do the legwork to find an organization interested in you utilizing their resources/ clinic population,, etc) . I have seen several DNP projects where American students completed it on a study population abroad. You can go to Frontier and see some of the DNP Projects completed
