Hello everyone, I am an Adult-Gero Primary care NP. I graduated in December 2018 and moved to Ohio in July 2019. I have been having so much trouble looking for an NP job here in Ohio. I got offered a job, it was terrible, I left within 3 months. I started applying for RN positions to get my foot in the door and still no hope even with 4 years of experience as a nurse! Its been so hectic and disappointing. I have been rejected so many times, applied to over 50 jobs, nothing. I am starting to lose hope, does anyone else live in Ohio and is having trouble finding a job! Please help!!?

Are you able to move to another area/location for a NP position? I would submit applications outside of the Ohio area.

I wish, but I cannot due to personal circumstances.

Sorry to hear that! ? Maybe looking into remote work? like telehealth may be an option if you can't move out of state or move to another area in Ohio.

I also have that specialty and had trouble finding employment so I added family (FNP) and emergency (ENP) and although recruiters saw me an a CNS I was at lease able to select from far more opportunities than the AGPCNP avails.

This is exactly what I have been predicting for years. If everyone goes back to school to get a NP there will be less demand for employment. Wages will also go down significantly.
My son is a RN in the emergency room. He is 25 and already seeing this. States that he has zero desire to spend $80k for a NP degree to make MAYBE ten dollars more an hour. Nope, no thanks.
I am on the other side of the coin. Looking to retire from this madness in a few. Many of my docs I work with are sick of this as well. Tired of administration owning everyone.
A MSN costs 80K? I think I got ripped off! Don't want to tell you what my doctoral degree is costing me in student loans ?
