Hi, was just curious, are there nurse patient ratios for adult acute care facilities in North Carolina? is there a maximun number of patients per nurse? Currently here in california I am spoiled w a max of 5. In Massachusetts we could have 8-12.
I too would like to know about the ratio's. I lived in San Diego and had a max of 6 patients. I worked nights so we had one more patient than the days. Good thing, Arnold did not win. LOL

OMG!!! you are sooooooooooo lucky!!! I just started nursing, as an RN, in March. They put me on a tele unit, which I like, it's very interesting, but they give me 10-12 pts!!!! ARGH!!!!! Tell me how the hell I'm suppossed to give pt care the way I should, it's rediculous. I'm actually debating on looking for a new job, just nervous how other hospitals will look at me, maybe they'll think I didn't give it a chance.
Oh well, I was just reading some blogs, and had to let you know how lucky you are!!
