Nurse from New Jersey wanting to move to Australia

I have been trying to fill out the application form, and I'm wondering if anybody knows what form i need to fill up for the Nurses board of Victoria to verify my registration to New Jersey or New York. The nurses board of victoria want a verification from New Jersey but the BOard of nursing here in new jersey needs a form from australia to do so. Does anybody else know what to do for the verification process?

I sent a letter to the California Board of Nursing detailing exactly what I needed them to send to the NBV verfying my registration. I also included the fee that was detailed on the website for verification. If all else fails, call/e-mail your board and find out if they do have a form/fee.

How long did it take for them to send the verification to Victoria board of nursing? Could you share the text of the letter, please? Also, do you think it's better to submit an application for registration first, or to send a verification of registration in California first?

The California BON Website states to allow up to 6 weeks processing time. I'm not sure exactly how long it took because they did not provide me with verification once they sent it, but they did cash my check pretty promptly. Again the processing time may vary depending on the state. Like I said before, perhaps you should call them or e-mail the New Jersey board to find out your specific questions. I had to send a few e-mails during my process, it only takes a few minutes.

As far as the letter, I basically composed a letter to the board explaining I was applying for registration with the NBV and detailed exactly what I needed them to include in my verification. It was short and to the point. I had no problems. I sent it all the same time, but as far as I know if they receive the verification from your state before your application, they'll simply open a file for you. Not a big deal which gets there first.

Sorry I'm uninformed about nursing in Australia, but I was wondering if there was a nursing shortage there? I'm dreaming up something big, somewhere exciting to take my life. Thank you very much for the help!
