Would be helpful first to know what type of unit you are wanting to staff - patient acuity, etc. :)

THIS IS THE MATRIX THAT I USE FOR MED-SURG UNIT FOR A SMALL RUAL HOSPITAL (31 BEDS). THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE A UNIT CLERK ON 7-3 AND 3-11. NO CLERK ON 11-7. I ADJUST STAFFING WITH CENSUS AND ACUITY. I ALSO TRY TO KEEP A 6:1 LICENSED PERSONEL PER PATIENT. IT'S NOT PERFECT, BUT SEEMS TO WORK OK. HOPE THIS WILL HELP.
