Need to interview a nurse manager/leader/administrator

Hi everyone. I'm a student in an accelerated BSN and I graduate in 2 weeks. I need to interview a nurse manager/leader/administrator. The type of setting doesn't matter (hospital, home care, etc..). There is only a few questions so if anyone happens to see this that can help me would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the questions:

1. What is your job title? What is your job description?2. How would you describe the role you play in your job related to the financial management of your unit?

3. Can you tell me about the budgeting process for your unit and your role in the process?

4. What specific financial issues are you currently grappling with at work?

5. How are your staff nurses educated or informed about the financial realities of health care today?

6. If you could make one suggestion or give one piece of advice regarding the business of healthcare to a student who will soon be a nurse, what would it be?

Thank you so much.

Did you try interviewing someone where you did your clinical??

Interview means face-to-face or at least on the phone. Posting your homework on an anonymous internet forum and expecting us to do it for you is likely NOT what your instructor had in mind. Sorry.

Well I tried to do the interview at my clinical site and unfortunately census is extremely high in the hospital and the nurse managers were unable to help me. As I am in an accelerated program our assignments are given to us and we have a very, very short time to get them accomplished. I posted my questions on this forum because it says that students that need help with assignments, case studies, and interviews are more then welcome to post. I would never expect someone to do my assignments for me.

Some of us are instructors and the purpose of the assignment is not meant to be online. Some may answer your interview questions. I will move your post since you are specifically asking for managers
