Has anyone ever actually applied for nurse loan forgiveness? If so, were you successful in getting your loans forgiven? I'd love to hear stories and what resources you used!

Yes me too! I'm skeptical that this is even a possibility.

Are you talking about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program?
If so, the first group won't be eligible for forgiveness untill 2017, so there's no one with personal experience. The program started in '07 and one must make 10 years of payments. It's important to use Pay as You Earn repayment plan. If you go with the standard repayment, it will be paid off in 120 payments not leaving anything to be forgiven. Pay as You Earn spreads it across about 20 years depending on your income, so in 10 years you'll still owe money and it will be forgiven. Your job doesn't matter, just your employer (tax exempt non-profit or meets certain other criteria). You must make 120 on-time payments (10 years) while working full-time for this employer.
