Sure you heard of ER nurse that was forcibly arrested for refusing to draw blood. That was one incident, what about the ones where patients and family members attack nurses and cna?

I don't expect media coverage when a 109 year old demented patient smacks me. The police should know better.

Cops are professionals charged with protecting people and thus held to a far higher standard than an alcoholic withdrawing in desperate need of a banana bag and some Ativan, the demented elderly, the angry family members looking for an easy target to express their anger that their loved ones are dying, the people with liver disease who have 5x too much ammonia clouding their judgement, the cancer patient in pain with brain mets, etc forever.
