Nurse Extern Interview at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago

I have a 1:1 interview with Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago for a summer extern program. I went through the HR phone interview, but am now flying to Chicago to interview with the unit manager. I don't know how this is going to go, and have read varying things on interview questions etc. Has anyone ever interviewed with them before? What was it like, and what did they ask? Also, has anyone ever done this program before and if so did they like it? THANKS!

I only applied to one other and I didn’t get that one so I’m really hoping to get this one! There aren’t a lot of internship positions that I’ve found near me that are still accepting applicants/have positions available in the ED.

I go to school near Pittsburgh and many of the hospitals in this area will hire nursing students full-time as a pct over the Summer as long as they will work prn over the school year. I wonder if you would be able to find something like that near you?

That being said, I really hope they get back to us soon! PCT jobs just can't compare with the opportunity to intern in the ED LOL

Even though I guess that's my back-up option right now too.

congratulations @futurenurseJulia! I also have not received an email, but they did respond to me to let me know that those selected for in-person interviews and offers would be contacted by the end of February, so probably by friday since I doubt they'd email us over the weekend.
