What pathway would you recommend in becoming a nurse educator?

Could you be a registered nurse and then attend postgraduate study in special and inclusive education? Do you need a masters?

Typically, you are going to need an MSN or higher nursing degree. There may be some staff education positions that would be available to BSN nurses, but you will need additional nursing degrees for academia.

Hi Mary, generally to teach in an ADN program you would need an MSN or higher.  For many four year BSN programs, they will want you to be in the process of attaining your doctoral degree (at least here in NY).  Requirements for that depends on the school. For example, you might get your PhD in Nursing, an EdD (doctor of education), or a DNP.  Some schools are not as picky as others.  Good luck!
