should i? im confused?

Sure! If you go into general surgical, general medical, emergency or trauma there's lots of different things going on. Maybe just avoid particular specialties - I worked in elective orthopedic surgery for 5 years - hip and knee replacements day in day out - was pretty fed up of it when I left!

there's a lot of RN specialties nowadays...choose what suits you best....

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

Moving to pre-nursing forum.

Specializes in CNA/LPN.

Definitely! If you are interested in anything emergency or trauma-related, you'll never get bored or do the same thing every day! ;)

well said.....

Any time you get tired of your specialty, you can get a job in another nursing specialty. That is one of the advantages of nursing, so many avenues to pursue.

That's what is wonderful about nursing. There are many directions and paths to choose from. I wouldn't say every day will be the same but i'm assuming you'll never be bored, there is always something to do!
