Nursing Students School Programs
Published Mar 3, 2016
Hi everyone! It looks like the NURSE Corps 2016-2017 application is set to open on March 8th, 2016. I'm starting this forum to help any of those applying (like myself!) so that we all have somewhere to turn to with questions.

Hi everyone,I am also patiently waiting on the nurse corps scholarship to process my application. I have a bachelors degree of psychology, and an ASN in nursing. I am currently enrolled in the bridge MSN family nurse practitioner program at George Washington University. My bridge course started a few weeks ago and my matriculation date for my nurse practitioner program starts at the end of August. I have an estimated EFC of 0, a nursing GPA of 3.86 and an overall GPA of 3.4. I will keep everyone posted if I see any updates to my account. Is there anyone attending a nurse practitioner program that has applied? -Casey

yep! I got my BS in Respiratory Therapy and am starting a three year nurse practitioner program next week actually! I will get my RN January 2018 and then finish up the masters portion by spring 2019
I do wonder, however, how they will rank our tier. If we do not start the masters coursework for another year and a half like me, will I be first funding or not?

Hey maria,
I'm not sure how they will rank yours, lets hope its 1st tier The program I am attending allows me to skip my BSN since I have a previous bachelors and an associate degree RN. I am taking a required summer bridge course but come fall I am in the normal MSN program.

I believe first tier are those in a BSN/ADN that are full time and Master's level NP's.

I got a credit check today from CREDCO end user text HRSA - NHSC LRP AND. Application status still under review. Not sure how many of you have received credit checks. I'm a graduate entry psych NP student.
That's great news!! I am a grad entry Peds NP student. My creditkarma doesn't update until tomorrow but I did hear of a couple other people on other threads getting their credit checked too!
