  1. Hey maria, I'm not sure how they will rank yours, lets hope its 1st tier The program I am attending allows me to skip my BSN since I have a previous bachelors and an associate degree RN. I am taking a required summer bridge course but come fall I am in the normal MSN program.
  2. Hi everyone, I am also patiently waiting on the nurse corps scholarship to process my application. I have a bachelors degree of psychology, and an ASN in nursing. I am currently enrolled in the bridge MSN family nurse practitioner program at George Washington University. My bridge course started a few weeks ago and my matriculation date for my nurse practitioner program starts at the end of August. I have an estimated EFC of 0, a nursing GPA of 3.86 and an overall GPA of 3.4. I will keep everyone posted if I see any updates to my account. Is there anyone attending a nurse practitioner program that has applied? -Casey

  4. Anyone taking the bridge course this summer?
  5. Congrats to everyone finding out about their acceptance! Has anyone looked into finding a place to stay in August? If anyone knows the DC area well and has ideas of great/cheap places to stay near campus please, please, please fill me in :) Also, I am more than willing to share a room with someone to save so let me know if you are interested.
  6. Yes, please. Let me know once you set it up :)
  7. Nice to meet you too! I can't wait to get started. Do you already have your BSN or do you have to do the summer bridge course as well?
  8. I don't mind at all. My overall GPA is 3.4 and my nursing GPA is a 3.9 . Your experience sounds great! I just finished ASN this past December and am about to start my first job as an RN in the emergency department. I was accepted contingent upon graduating my program and passing the boards, I also have to take a bridge summer course.
  9. It comes out to be about 50,000 total. I believe they do offer scholarships, I have to look more into it tho.
  10. I submitted my application late September but all of my info on NURSINGCAS was not verified until mid November. There are plenty of NP programs but I picked this one for a few specific reasons...It is part time so I can work full time, GWU has a great reputation and being that I have my ASN and a bachelor's degree in a non nursing field this program allows admittance to the masters program with the condition of completing a bridge summer course.
  11. I was hoping I could start this thread and meet some other nurses interested in the FNP program offered at GW. I just received my acceptance letter for Fall 2016 and am so excited! Feel free to ask questions about the application process or if you have applied/are interested or have been accepted :)
