Hi Everyone,

I didn't see a thread created for the 2019 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program yet. This will be my 3rd year applying. I'm applying as a staff RN with a HPSA score of 17. Hopefully, they open the application cycle soon.

I know looking at previous posts it doesn’t mean anything

What doesn’t mean anything?

When they do credit checks

Just because they do one doesn’t mean you’ll get it, but without one you’re certainly not in the running. Better to have one than not. To qualify you certainly need one.

Don’t panic. I feel like the due date was later this year too. Hopefully they are just a little behind because they stacked all the applications on top of each other this year. I’d never seen all the dates so close in previous years but maybe I’m wrong.

Thanks guys. Yes we did apply later this year. It’s just my nerves and the student loans.

I know as long as it is in by the deadline I don’t see why it should matter? Or is that just my thinking? I submitted my application the last week it was due. I literally put 60 hours into my application

Credit check yesterday. FNP 1st time applying. DTI is about 70%.

Does anyone know if you have both mental health and primary care in a facility which score they go by? Do they look at one? Both? Or the highest? The lowest? I was not sure if anyone else came across this?

DTI 165%

Primary Care 13

Mental Health 19

we are so underserved we do both as FNP

I think I read somewhere that the highest of the 2 scores is taken. I hope so ?

When you calculate your DTI ratio you are only dividing your salary by your student loan debt right? You can't add in car payments or other debts correct?

Thanks!

Hello,

I see that many of you applied for the loan repayment for NHSC, but has any of you applied for the NHSC SUD loan repayment? I started my application in February but could find my birth certificate in time. Last week I received and email asking me if I still wanted to apply, which I did. I'm guessing there was still funding available and the reopened my application. Hoping that I do get awarded since I work for a native MAT clinic and our site score is 22.
