Patho should help tremendously with the 3 Med/Surg classes. It's probably what students struggle most with - connecting the Signs and Symptoms with the disease process. And it's the class students who fail have to take to get back into the program.
You're definitely being proactive taking this class!
Good luck!:heartbeat
The instructor yesterday was O'Connor and she will team teach with Donbronsky. Does anyone have any advice?:uhoh21:
Yes. Put extra money in the collection plate this weekend to show your gratitude. You have two excellent teachers there. DD is beyond superb. She is smart, smart, smart, and CO is really great, too.
Darn! I should take that Patho class myself.
Lucky, lucky you.
From what she said it was the two of them this spring/ summer. I liked how she started off. I am excited, it definately helped that I started reading the text before class I calmed down doing that. I definately like how she teaches, bringing in real life things and how she said i know some of you won't know what i'm talking about, so let me know if I need to explain it more.
I am taking Patho at HFCC this spring also. I am in the Wed class from 4-9. We will have 17 chapters on the first test. I just completed the first year of nursing classes there. Are the tests for patho similiar to nursing class tests? You know....critical thinking...or is it more factual?

Has anyone taken this class? I am on the waitlist and I start the patho class tomorrow. I am extremely nervous as to how this class is taught compared to the "normal prereqs". I have already started reading the textbook and I bought patho made easy, but I feel really unsure as to my ability.:uhoh21:
