NU SD Cohort 41

I have searched for a thread about NU SD's cohort 41 that is supposed to be starting January 2015. I am going to be applying next week after I attend the pre-nursing forum on Tuesday, the 15th. My goal is to get into the ABSN program as I already have a bachelors degree. I understand thought that the number of spots in the cohort is for both the general BSN and the ABSN groups. I am curious to see what other peoples stats are that are going to be, or already have applied for this cohort. I am so nervous because I knpow a lot of people apply and there are only about 50 spots available. I havn't taken the TEAS yet or the essay exam part. I have a 3.5 GPA, so I'm hoping I can kick butt on the TEAS and essay!

I asked Monir about it yesterday, he said he'd get back to me asap. So far he's been super reliable and quick to get me answers so *fingers crossed* I hope they tell us before the 42 deadline!

I doubt we will find out before the 42 deadline. I noticed that seems to be the trend with other cohorts. It might be on purpose so they dont have a flood of last minute applicants... Not sure though. It would definitely be nice though!

My advisor told me that was their goal because after oct the new prereq's are required before you can apply and they won't allow you to do them while in the program like 41 and 42 but who knows

Hi all, I have been following this thread and I too applied for cohort 41. I spoke to my advisor and she stated that we probably wont get an answer until Nov! I hope it does not take that long... Good luck everyone!!

Hi everyone! I also applied for cohort SD 41. When I went to the nursing forum JJ said we should know by the end of October. I was wondering about if they would let us know before the deadline for cohort 42 and I was told by someone that got into cohort 40 that they purposely wait until after the next cohorts deadline so that people can only apply twice a year.

I hope that we all make it in!

Yeah, after following threads for past cohorts, I noticed that all of them found out after the next deadline. I'm sure its on purpose for the reasons youre saying and some others. I definitely hope that it doesnt take as long as November, though! Fingers crossed that it is sometime next week!

I think that is kind of inconvenient and messed up especially since we pay so much to go there.

When I went to my nursing forum JJ said that we would know by the end of October. I haven't heard anything other than that. I hope we find out soon!
