NU SD Cohort 41

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I have searched for a thread about NU SD's cohort 41 that is supposed to be starting January 2015. I am going to be applying next week after I attend the pre-nursing forum on Tuesday, the 15th. My goal is to get into the ABSN program as I already have a bachelors degree. I understand thought that the number of spots in the cohort is for both the general BSN and the ABSN groups. I am curious to see what other peoples stats are that are going to be, or already have applied for this cohort. I am so nervous because I knpow a lot of people apply and there are only about 50 spots available. I havn't taken the TEAS yet or the essay exam part. I have a 3.5 GPA, so I'm hoping I can kick butt on the TEAS and essay!

Hey guys! I applied to 41 too. Hopefully we find out soon, I'm curious to see what they're going to do with the pre-req changes.

If you started going to national before March 2014, the changes are very minimal. That's how it was explained to me.

It's been explained to me multiple ways, I don't think they even know what they're doing yet..

Yeah, its kind of ridiculous how many conflicting things I've heard about this. Its frustrating!

Has anyone heard anything about when we might hear about acceptance? I'm trying to play it cool, but I'm deffinitely on pins and needles... I just cant wait to find out!

I also applied. I'm playing it cool but I am anxious about whether I get in or not. I got denied for cohort 40 few months ago. I might get rejected again. The first one was an alternate. Got denied on the orientation day. I'd rather have no or yes this time.

Hi Pinklove111- I'd think that if you've already been accepted as an alternate once you probably have a good chance to be accepted this time around. Especially if you were able to raise your TEAS and essay scores. I'm worried about being picked as an alternate too, I cant imagine having to wait this long and then wait again until orientation.

What position alternate were you, if you dont mind me asking?

I haven't heard anything about when, I've asked multiple times but no one has an answer. I assume it will be towards the end of the month since previous cohorts have been around that time.

We were 14 on the alternates. Only half got in. I'm the other middle lower half that did not get in.

Ashley9890 - yeah, I imagine it will be after Oct. 16th since that is the application cuttoff for cohort 42. I still check SOAR everyday though...

Hi guys, I have been following this thread daily as well as checking soar. I emailed JJ- with any luck he will email back. I had previously emailed the nursing department but got no response. I had applied back in January and found out three weeks later, so I am surprised at how long it is taking this time.

I asked my advisor she also said we should hear by mid to late October I m dying of nerves, I know we all are hope we all get in :)

Thanks @MariaPray! Hopefully we find out in the next couple of weeks... :nailbiting:
