NU SD Cohort 41

I have searched for a thread about NU SD's cohort 41 that is supposed to be starting January 2015. I am going to be applying next week after I attend the pre-nursing forum on Tuesday, the 15th. My goal is to get into the ABSN program as I already have a bachelors degree. I understand thought that the number of spots in the cohort is for both the general BSN and the ABSN groups. I am curious to see what other peoples stats are that are going to be, or already have applied for this cohort. I am so nervous because I knpow a lot of people apply and there are only about 50 spots available. I havn't taken the TEAS yet or the essay exam part. I have a 3.5 GPA, so I'm hoping I can kick butt on the TEAS and essay!

It could be anytime today, so I guess we just have to hold on until the end of the day. It has to be today...

They can't be serious by prolonging this further! Being that no one knows anything and the number they direct us to is a recording I am finding this hard to grasp! Has anyone spoken to a human who has any info? Right now we have no hope of getting any financial aid for a long time due to their neglect!

I spoke to people when I called the admissions department directly. They always pick up, but they dont always have the most useful information. JJ usually responds to my emails, even if it takes a day or two. His email is [email protected], I wrote him yesterday to ask about finding out today and he hasnt written back yet. I hope I hear from him, mostly I hope they just stay true to what they said and post the results sometime today.

Wow- ok, JJ wrote me back... this is what he said: Hello Jessica,

It is still a work in progress. If the results are not made available by the end of the today, they will be ready on Monday.

I think I might need to find a punching bag...STAT

What??? :mad: I'm not sure what the problem is. It sounds like they haven't done much of anything! If they already had the picks, then what's the problem with posting it? I'm sure Monday will come and it'll be some lame excuse and then another we will have the results "this week for sure." Because yeah, there is only 2 more working weeks in December!

Another reason for not doing it today is because they probably don't want to deal with the people who didn't get in, asking for scores and making extra work for them etc. Especially more because today is the weekend.

I wrote him back to ask him if he honestly thought wed get anything today or if its more likely on Monday and he said that he is 40% today and 60% Monday. Im hitting my peak of stress. This has been the least fun roller coaster I've ever been on.

For a school that has an established BSN Program where they evaluate 4 times a year this man's "work in progress" excuse is very odd indeed.

Wow!! I cannot believe he said that to you. Actually. Yes I can believe it with the way it's been going. Again, it's not today, and not likely on Monday. I'm sure most of us wouldn't be ticked off if they would just say Dec 11 is the day your going to find out. Not all of the middle of November, okay end of November, okay now December 5, okay 60% Monday. But there's nothing we can do anyways besides come on here and complain.

I have three emails into the nursing department - the last one with "third email - please respond" on the subject line. No answer back. My advisor tells me that she has no control or information as to when the announcements will be made.
