NU SD Cohort 41

I have searched for a thread about NU SD's cohort 41 that is supposed to be starting January 2015. I am going to be applying next week after I attend the pre-nursing forum on Tuesday, the 15th. My goal is to get into the ABSN program as I already have a bachelors degree. I understand thought that the number of spots in the cohort is for both the general BSN and the ABSN groups. I am curious to see what other peoples stats are that are going to be, or already have applied for this cohort. I am so nervous because I knpow a lot of people apply and there are only about 50 spots available. I havn't taken the TEAS yet or the essay exam part. I have a 3.5 GPA, so I'm hoping I can kick butt on the TEAS and essay!

Can we try and reach out to JJ and confirm its tomorrow?

Go ahead. Let us know what is their response. I have given you the Chairman info too. I have contacted JJ several times already before.

I am new to this blog but have been reading it and am just as stressed out as everyone else so I joined. My TEAS was an 80% and my gpa was a around a 3.5. I am hoping I did well on the essay.

Does anyone know how many applied for #41.

Hey Sandy! I asked JJ when I took the TEAS and he told me there were 120 applicants total, which is actually a pretty small pool. I'm hoping that works in my (our) favor!

Thanks for the info Jessy. This has got to be the hardest major to get into - I think I could make my life easier by shooting for medical school entrance! My advisor allowed me to go in on the old pre-reqs saying that I'd eventually need to take the extra classes. When I originally met with her she advised me with the old pre-reqs and the change was so confusing. It seems like the whole ordeal has been confusing - especially this wait!!! I've basically had to put my schooling and life on hold until I get these results!

Does anyone know if we should expect and email or if the status is just updated on SOAR? I wonder what time in the day we will have any info...I emailed JJ to ask him is admissions was still on track to let us know tomorrow and I havent gotten a response. I know we are all going to be checking like crazy so if someone gets anything, please let us know! Good luck, guys!!

I called the SD NU Nursing # - it was a recording to call another number. I called that number and asked when we would receive our notices - she didn't know and told me to call the first number with the recording or to email [email protected]. I have several emails into that address and no one responds.

This is an expensive school and usually private schools offer quality service. I sure hope that the person who told us December 5th is the magical day is accurate!

They can't be serious by prolonging this further! Being that no one knows anything and the number they direct us to is a recording I am finding this hard to grasp! Has anyone spoken to a human who has any info? Right now we have no hope of getting any financial aid for a long time due to their neglect!
