NSU Nursing Winter 2019

Hi everyone! I'm a long time reader, and brand new member! I couldn't find a forum on here for the Nova Entry-Level Nursing Winter 2019 semester so I thought I would just create one.

I was actually planning to start in Fall 2018 but I saw on a recent post that both the Miami and main Davie campus programs are full for Fall 2018 which is a huge bummer.

Has anyone interviewed yet for 2019? How did it go? How did you dress? Any tips? Thanks! :)

Hi! I also had applied for the Fall 2018 class for the Miami Campus and was told it was full the day of my interview. I had my interview about 2 weeks ago. Interview day went super smooth and was not as crazy as I had expected it to be. Your day starts with a tour of the campus where you meet some of the professors and are able to see all the classrooms/stimulation labs. After the tour you take your Kaplan exam and then you go on a lunch break. After returning from your break you have 45 mins to write an essay and then you have individual interviews with 2 people that could either be professors or the director of the program. Everyone in my interview group (about 13 girls) was wearing dress pants, a blouse, blazer and closed toed flats. Let me know if you have any questions :)

Ohh thanks for all the tips! Congrats on getting to the interview process! Have you heard back if you have been accepted or not?

How long did it take to schedule the interview after they received your transcripts? I'm still waiting for my transcripts to be sent in.

How did you find the Kaplan exam to be? What was the essay about? and what kind of questions were asked during the interview? Sorry for so many questions! Haha I'm just excited and anxious about it all.

Hello all, I'm going for 2019 as well. I have a few pre reqs to complete. Unfortunately many of my credits from my bachelor degree was not accepted so I'm pretty much starting from the bottom. I'm hoping to attend the Davie campus. Great to meet you all.

hey everybody I actually have my interview tomorrow and I'm very anxious but excited to go through it. I'll keep you guys updated.

Well I got accepted, I'm just waiting on their packet and I then I should be set!

Hello everyone!

I just got accepted into Nova BSN program at Davie. Has anyone else heard back or have questions about the process, feel free to let me know!

Hey guys! I applied to the Miami Campus to start in Winter 2019. For those of you that had already had your interview and got accepted, how long did it take for you guys to hear back and schedule in your interview? I'm nervous my application wont be reviewed until fall semesters starts and by then the spots will be filled. Also, I would love to start a whats app group chat for our class! Let me know what you guys think or if there is already one made.

Hey! I also applied to the Miami campus and got accepted already. As soon as I sent out my transcript it took me about a week to pick a date for my interview. A week after the interview I called Kate to ask if I was accepted into the program and she informed me that I did. I was estatic to be honest.

Hello everyone,

I submitted my application today and am hoping it gets reviewed soon. I also have an application in to UM's ABSN program and UWF's program as well. Wondering if anyone can provide details on their interview experience as well as their application? Backgrounds, GPA's, personal statement, etc.

Hi there!

I also applied for UM's ABSN and FIU's ABSN.

Both GPAs: 3.46

What is the #1 program you would like to get accepted into?

It looks like I'm commenting on your posts on multiple boards ;p

UM would definitely be my first choice followed by UWF, and NSU. Simply because of the amount of time required to complete the programs. UM in 12 months, UWF in 16 and NSU in 27. I'm not too concerned with the costs of each respective program since I have my GI bill but I would take whatever program accepts me.
