Nslij december2013 fellowship

Published

Hey guys I just went to the first interview today for the December ER fellowship today and I was wondering if anyone else did as well, and how do you think it went!?

Don't be nervous. Everyone was super nice! Just had my second interview. They said they have a few more then will make their decisions. Met with the educator and director and it was more laid back than I thought. Thy did say I starts the 2nd which is right around the corner

I missed the phone call today to schedule an interview :bluecry1:!!

Thanks for the info Xdoublejx91!

Just got the job offer!

Congrats!! Are you planning on accepting? I have my interview Monday. Did you have only 2 interviews?

Thanks! I had an interview at ny Presbyterian also for med surg. but I think I'm gonna go with the fellowship. The ED vs a regular med surg floor. No competition. And yes just 2 interviews. Goodluck and be yourself!

Congrats Xdoublejx91!!! I got a phone call today but missed it and when I called back I got an answering machine, I can't wait to call back tomorrow. If you dont mind me asking, what was the interview like, was it basic interview questions? Also what is te salary if you dont mind me asking?

Lol it was your typical behavioral questions about past clinical or work experience. Just be yourself and you should be fine. Base is like 75k with 1100 BSN differental and 5200 nights. The fellowships are all nights so total will be about 81k a yr

Are you sure those numbers are right ?

My sister is in the ICU fellowship @ LIJ and shes nights (+ BSN) and icu gets an extra 5k a year and she makes 77k a year

81k a year for the ED doesnt sound right to me, even with night differential

Yup it's correct. I'm positive. It says it on our offer letter. Additionally the program director told me twice to confirm the salary. I would take a photo and put it up just to show you but idk how or if I can on this

Maybe northshore pays more than lij? Idk

Hello all ,

I would like to know what type of documentation were submitted e.g letters of recommendations etc ... I did apply for the fellow and I submitted my CL, resume , list of references and unofficial transcript . I will appreciated it if anyone can give me some feedback for future reference . Also what type of experiences and/or extracurricular activities did you all have ?

Thank you again for the information.

Sorry for the late response. But I just applied using a cover letter and resume. After being offered a position I had to submit my official transcript, license and letters of recommendation. They aren't letting my repy to your pm
