NP outlook in Houston, TX

Hello! 

Wanted to ask for any honest thoughts or advice. I'm in the Houston area and I am contemplating returning to school for NP in the next year or so. I am interested in either FNP or PMHNP. Can anyone comment on the NP outlook in the Houston, TX area? I am being told (mostly those who are not NPs) that FNP is way too saturated, almost impossible for a new grad to find a job, and that the only way to go is ACNP. However, I'm not interested in this route. Is this all true? I don't know any PMHNPs in the Houston area to ask if Houston has good opportunities for this NP specialty. I thought I'd get better answers here. Thank you in advance 😊
