NP online programs

im looking into online NP programs. Where should i go regarding cost, creditability, difficulty, ect.

Also, ive heard by 2015 NP's will be required a DNP to compete in the job market. Is this True?

Yes it is true that after 2015 you will need a DNP inorder to practice as a nurse practitioner, however my understanding is that if you are certified before then you would be grandfathered in.

as far as good programs, requirements vary from state to state. You need to make sure that you are aware of your states requirements before starting a program. Good luck!

So, lets say i was in the process of gaining my NP as 2015 rolled thru, would i then be required to upgrade/alter the course work for a DNP?

i understand this question is best a query for the institutions i intend to be involved.

Actually it isn't true at all. The DNP as entry to practice is only a proposal, and has not been mandated in a single state, or by any licensing entity.
