NP Grad school Canada or the US?

Hello all,

I am a nursing student entering my final year this September at a Canadian university, after I graudate I plan on working for a couple of years and then applying to graduate school to do an NP program. I hope to eventually end up working/living in the US and I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding Canadian educated NP's working in the US.

I am wondering if it is really worth it for me to apply to schools in the US because it is harder for international students to get in, it is more expensive (tuition and taking the GRE), overall it would obviously be easier for me to go to a Canadian university but I am wondering if this would put me at a disadvantage and is it really worth it for me to go through the whole process of applying the schools is the US.
