NP to Doctorate CRNA?

Published

Is anyone aware of program(s) geared to a Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN) to doctorate level CRNA? I am not sold on the DNP for DNP's sake, but would be willing to pursue a doctorate degree if it afforded me new clinical training. I think it would be a great plan...anyone aware of such a program? Thanks!

The Clinical Doctorate completion programs currently approved by the Council on Accreditation all require that you already be a CRNA. You have 3 choices-1) do a post-masters certificate program, 2)do an entry to practice Masters Program, or 3)do a complete entry to practice program awarding a clinical doctorate. IF you did # 1 or 2 then you could do a completion program but the NP to CRNA/Clinical Doctorate program that you seek does not currently exist. Best wishes.

I'm with you. I wonder if I could do a post masters CRNA? My ICU experience is now remote and brief.
