What should I do with myself jobwise? I'm thinking about working at the Veterans Hospital here in Seattle. Any other suggestions?
I'm tired of LTC and ready to head out for some variety and adventure... I worked for the VA twice while doing clinicals. It was both crazy and fun!
Now I'm just trying to formulate my "I'm leaving" speech. Wish me luck! I'm not going to go into a great deal of detail, really. I'm just going to tell them that I'm seeking a different type of experience and that it's non-negotiable. End of story.

I think you'll enjoy acute care better, Seattle. I'm not far from you, btw, I work at a small hospital east of the mts. I worked LTC right out of school, then got my acute care experience at Providence, Yakima. I've heard that Providence in the Seattle area isn't the greatest. Prov, Yakima was difficult and under the new company it's a nightmare, according to my friends still there.
