I'm starting a nursing program in the fall and I'm wondering if you guys can give me some advice on what I should be doing in the meantime to help my transition into nursing school. It's been over a year since I completed my science prereqs so I'm starting to re-read all my books so that it can be fresh in my mind. Is there anything else you guys recommend? Thanks for your advice.

If you get an NCLEX book, read the beginning part about breaking down the questions to answer them. They are a different animal for sure, and the above poster saying they will start off easy isn't necessarily correct, ours never changed they were hard from day one! The only thing that change was my ability to dissect them to find the most right answer (there are usually 2 right answers, but one is more right!). I am good at them now, but I just finished my first year and believe me I wish I had started out good at them! Don't plan to do a bunch of questions, just read the beginning of the book to teach yourself how to work them out! Good Luck...you will love it!:nurse:

I agree with with others have said about enjoying your summer. I never studied ahead, and don't regret it one bit!:bowingpur
